LA Periodontics & Implant Specialists exists for one reason: to give patients access to specialist-level gum and implant care in the heart of Los Angeles. Unlike a general dental office that treats periodontal problems as one of many services, our practice is built exclusively around the gum tissue, bone, and implant foundation that support a healthy smile.
Our roots on Wilshire Blvd go back decades, to a practice founded by Dr. Gordon Pattison, who trained in periodontics and led the office for more than forty years before retiring. Dr. Rana Shahi, his longtime mentee, carried that foundation of trust and clinical rigor forward, and today leads the practice alongside Dr. Priscilla Young and Dr. Ivan Yi. That continuity is part of why so many patients describe our office as feeling less like a clinical appointment and more like being looked after by people who know them.
Periodontal disease, bone loss, and implant complications require a level of surgical precision and diagnostic judgment that comes from years of specialized training beyond dental school. Every doctor on our team has completed that additional residency in periodontology and is board-certified in the specialty, so patients referred to us, or who find us on their own, know they are being treated by someone whose entire career is centered on this one area of dentistry.
Our office sits on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, easily reached from the surrounding communities we serve every day: Brentwood, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the greater West Los Angeles area.
