For Our Patients

Patient Information

Everything you need to know before your visit to LA Periodontics & Implant Specialists, from what to expect at your first appointment to insurance and payment.

Your First Visit

Whether you were referred by your general dentist or you contacted our office directly, your first visit to LA Periodontics & Implant Specialists is focused on a thorough evaluation of your periodontal health. Your doctor will review your dental and medical history, examine your gums and supporting bone structure, and discuss any imaging needed to fully understand your condition.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss treatment options in detail before any procedure is scheduled. We believe informed patients make the best decisions about their care, so we take the time to explain findings in plain language, not just clinical terms.

What to Bring

  • A valid photo ID and your insurance card, if applicable
  • A list of current medications and any known allergies
  • Any referral paperwork or recent x-rays from your general dentist, if you have them
  • Your completed new patient forms, or arrive 30 minutes early to complete them in our office

To save time at your appointment, please review our Patient Forms page and complete your paperwork online before you arrive.

Insurance & Payment

We work with most major dental insurance plans and are happy to help you understand your coverage and out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins. Because periodontal and implant coverage varies significantly from plan to plan, our team will review your benefits and provide a clear estimate prior to any procedure.

For patients without insurance or those with treatment not fully covered, we offer flexible payment options. Please contact our office to discuss coverage details specific to your plan, and visit our Pay Online page to manage payments on your account.

Appointment Changes

We understand that schedules change. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we ask that you notify our office as early as possible so we can offer that time to another patient. Please call us at (310) 473-3800 to make any changes to your visit.

After Your Procedure

If you have had periodontal surgery or an implant procedure, please review our Surgical Instructions page for general aftercare guidance, and always follow the specific instructions provided by your doctor.
